Hope For Orphans: To Love Orphans and Share the Hope of Christ with Them
The Korean government is considering the elimination of adoption altogether in Korea and to keep all orphans in institutionalized orphanage care. This change is due to some poor experiences for Korean adoptees who struggled growing up within their respective families. While we definitely feel for the pain they went through, we also know that many lives have benefited because of adoption, and it would be heartbreaking to think that path towards gaining a family would be blocked completely. To sway the decision of the Korean government 200,000 Korean citizen signatures are needed. Please if you are a Korean citizen sign the petition, and if not let your friends who are know. The link provided below is where you can sign: https://www1.president.go.kr/petitions/103182
• For the 200,000 signatures needed to petition the government to stop this legislation
• For healing for past adoptees who had difficult experiences
• For every orphan to find a loving home
This Sunday Crossway will be celebrating Orphan Sunday!
As part of their fellowship, the CMC Ladies have put together goodie bags to be given as gifts for the children in Shin Myeong Orphanage (our new orphanage ministry).
Please join our efforts in reaching out to the children by buying a goodie bag at 1,500 won each. Labels are available to write your name and personalize your gift to the children.
